At Cooking4Autism, we strive to empower individuals with autism and special needs through comprehensive cooking workshops, life skills training, and event planning services.
Our goal is to foster self-sufficiency and create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Growing Mustard Seeds & the Blessing of Mustard- A Mother’s Teaching from an Garden in Philly
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”— Matthew 17:20
As a mother and a new urban farmer here in the City of Philadelphia, I have learned that God can make life grow anywhere—between rowhomes, in raised beds, on rooftops, and in small community gardens. The mustard seed reminds me daily that even in the city, faith and food can rise from the smallest spaces.
It is this reminder, Mustard Seed Faith Project, that we will be sharing with people across our city, commonwealth, and country. God can do anything with a person that has the faith and belief the size of a mustard seed!
How We Grow Mustard Seeds in Philly
In Philadelphia’s urban soil, we grow mustard with intention, stewardship, and prayer.
- Planting Season: Early spring and fall—perfect for our city climate
- Soil: Raised beds or containers with clean, healthy soil
- Sun: Full sun, even if it comes in pieces between buildings
- Water: Consistent watering, especially through warm city summers
- Harvest Time: Greens in about one month; seeds in three to four months
Mustard thrives in the city! It grows fast, needs little space, and teaches us that abundance doesn’t depend on acreage.

God, in His wisdom, made mustard to strengthen His people wherever they live.

Feed those who are hungry in body and in spirit.

Give us faith as small as a mustard seed,

The “Hoods to the Woods" program is an initiative that C4A is building with the PA Legislative Committee with Moms For Liberty. The purpose of this program is:
1. Take children/families that have NEVER been out of the city on a camping trip which will give them firsthand educational experience about nature, the tools used to live/survi
The “Hoods to the Woods" program is an initiative that C4A is building with the PA Legislative Committee with Moms For Liberty. The purpose of this program is:
1. Take children/families that have NEVER been out of the city on a camping trip which will give them firsthand educational experience about nature, the tools used to live/survive in nature and vice versa. We will bring children/families that have NEVER been to the City of Philadelphia to learn the tools/resources of city living and survival which will also include a trip on SEPTA transportation system!
2. Build intercultural and intergenerational unity and understanding within C4A, M4L, City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of PA.
Constitution Conversations
The “Hoods to the Woods" Program
C4A noticed the community NEEDS an increase in conversations surrounding civics and the constitution. To address this need, C4A is collaborating with numerous organizations that have agreed to host these critical conversations in Philly and the Commonwealth.
Grassroots Work!
This initiative focuses on providing the skills necessary to create grassroots strategies that provide a comprehensive understanding of the campaign/election cycle, identifying vulnerabilities in community demographics, tools to build intercultural relationships, and how to determine your "win" number for victory.

C4A recognized the need to host STRATEGIC political opportunities and events that are welcoming to the whole community. These events will continue the grassroots work that we have been building in the "political deserts" of the city and commonwealth with a goal of increasing voter registration and election day turnout by 25%.
