We are committed to serving individuals—especially those with autism and special needs—by equipping them with the tools to succeed in life and in the workforce.
This is more than a program—this is a movement.
We are creating real opportunities for individuals who are often overlooked, proving that with the right support, structure, and belief—independence is possible.
Cooking4Autism was created from a place of love, lived experience, and a deep desire to fill a gap that exists in our communities.
Too many individuals—especially those who are highly functioning—are left without clear pathways to independence.
We are here to change that!
A world where individuals of all abilities are equipped, empowered, and given the opportunity to live self-sufficient, purpose-driven lives.
We are guided by the belief that every individual is created with purpose.
"Faith without works is dead." – James 2:17
Our work is our faith in action—serving, uplifting, and building pathways for others to thrive!

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”— Matthew 17:20
As a mother and a new urban farmer here in the City of Philadelphia, I have learned that God can make life grow anywhere—between rowhomes, in raised beds, on rooftops, and in small community gardens. The mustard seed reminds me daily that even in the city, faith and food can rise from the smallest spaces.
It is this reminder, Mustard Seed Faith Project, that we will be sharing with people across our city, commonwealth, and country. God can do anything with a person that has the faith and belief the size of a mustard seed!
How We Grow Mustard Seeds in Philly
In Philadelphia’s urban soil, we grow mustard with intention, stewardship, and prayer.
Mustard thrives in the city! It grows fast, needs little space, and teaches us that abundance doesn’t depend on acreage.
How Mustard Nourishes the Body
God, in His wisdom, made mustard to strengthen His people wherever they live.
Mustard greens—rich in vitamins A, C, and K—are foods I prepare with love to nourish my family.
How We Use Mustard in Our Philly Home
In our home, every seed has purpose.
A Mother’s Lesson from the Mustard Seed
The mustard seed teaches us that faith can grow through concrete, hardship, and hope. God does not ask for much—only that we plant what we have and trust Him with the growth.
As a mother raising children in Philly, I teach them:
Do their best and watch God do the rest. Trust God to move their mountains.
HAVE FAITH AND TELL YOUR MOUNTAINS TO MOVE!

Lord God,
We thank You for Philadelphia—its neighborhoods, its children, its elders, and its streets.
Bless the soil beneath our feet, even where it has been forgotten or broken.
Teach us to plant seeds of faith in small places—backyards, schoolyards, and community gardens.
Heal what is wounded in our city.
Feed those who are hungry in body and in spirit.
Let hope rise like green shoots through concrete and let peace take root in every block.
Give us faith as small as a mustard seed,
that we may believe You can move the mountains before us—
in our homes, our communities, and our city.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

We take families beyond their everyday environments—introducing city families to nature through hands-on camping experiences, while also welcoming families unfamiliar with urban life into Philadelphia to explore city resources, culture, and public transportation like SEPTA.
More than a trip, this program builds intercultural and intergenerational unity—creating connection, expanding perspectives, and strengthening families and communities across Pennsylvania.

Happy New Year Cooking4Autism Supporter!
I hope this message finds you well. As we approach a very special day, the birthday of our esteemed co-founder, my mom, Sheila E. Armstrong, we are reminded of the incredible impact my mom has had on our organization and the community C4A serves.
In honor of my mom's birthday, we are launching a special donation campaign to support Cooking4Autism’s Gun Safety Classes!
This initiative is close to our family's heart because we have lost numerous family and friends to gun violence, and your contribution will help us continue the important work that we have started with the goal of training 500 people the basics about gun safety.
How You Can Help:
A Quote from My Mom: When we left for school, my mom would always tell us that if we "Do Your Best and watch God do the Rest!" She explained to us how God honors the work that we do especially when we are doing the best that we can do!
Your generosity will not only honor our family's legacy but also help us achieve our mission of providing gun safety training to 500 people in 2026.
Together, we can make a significant difference in 2026!
Thank you for your continued support and for joining us in celebrating my mom's birthday in such a meaningful way.
Warm regards,
Skylar G. Armstrong
